- What is one device or app you can’t live without?

A notebook, handy notebook. When I was a student, I use notebooks to memo appointments and phone numbers and addresses of friends.

But now days, I use galaxy phone, I usually use Threads and Instagram for fun. And when out-door exercising, I use the Samsung Health to record the distance and time of running or trailing.

If device means an electric equipment at home, I might choose the refrigerator which contains fresh groceries.

 

- What would be the best pairing 청국장 with wine vs cake with 소주

I’m not enjoy alcohol. But, I should choose the one of two, I would rather choose 청국장 with wine than cake with 소주.  

 

- Have you ever celebrated a foreign holiday? What was your experience like?

Christmas? I don’t know the name and date of other holidays. When I was a child, I had got a scolding by my mother for getting candies of Christmas from the Catholic Church near the town. After the upper grades, I made Christmas card for my friends. I drew pictures of the snowing country scenery or a secluded house within persimmon tree and platform for crocks.

 

- How was your first date?

The first time I met my wife, Ulsan, I went to the place of appointment after getting off the job, without washing my face. I wore the khaki colored company clothes and paint stained jeans and safety shoes. And not shaved my bread as I worked all night before the day. I guess it was probably the worst outfit for a blind date. Because, I was got the place just to see one of my friends who come from Pusan and I didn’t know it was a blind date.

 

- If you could design your own coffee shop, what would it look like?

I would like to design like as the Starbucks. It is possible to have rest and chatter with friends for 2 or 3 hours having with white noise and comfort couches and chairs. And hanging local painter’s paintings and jazz sound. The one pick is the comfort atmosphere and no witness of staffs. I would choose the brown color for warmth.

 

- What will be the most important thing to manage a cafe?

The first thing, I think is, the taste of the coffee and breads. It does not have to taste the best but the public. And next is the comfort atmosphere. As said earlier, it means warmth and kindness of staffs, white noise, no disturbing interior and comfort couches and chairs.
