- What do you think about the status system in England?
사실 오늘까지 영국에 신분제도가 있다는 사실을 몰랐다. 귀족이 있는 줄은 알았지만, 그게 신분제도라고 생각해본 적은 없다. 그리고 인도처럼 신분제도 때문에 발생한 이슈도 듣지를 못했다. 영국의 신분제도는 그저 상류층과 비상류층 정도로만 구분되고 있는 건 아닐까?

I did not know that there remains the status system in England, till today. I know that there has a noble class in England, but I do not think that it is a status system. And I never heard of the issue which occurred by the status system in England, so I think that it is different between England and India. I assume that the England status system divided into the upper class and the not upper class.

 

- Why do you think that Korean don't want to inform that they see a psychiatrist?

정신과 진료를 받는다고 하면 미친 사람 또는 정신이 올바르지 못한 사람으로 오해를 받을 수 있기 때문이다. 그래서 정신과 대신 심리과 등으로 불리는 게 좋을 거 같다. 우울증은 정신과에서 받을 수 있는 진료 과목 중 대표적인 것이다. 많은 현대인은 우울증을 앓고 있지만, 정작 자신이 겪는 고통이 우울증에 기인한 것인지를 모르는 경우가 많다. 그래서 더 큰 위험이 되고 있다.

Because, we afraid that someone could misunderstand me a crazy or psycho or having a mental problem when he knows me going to the psychiatrist. So I insist that we should call   the psychiatry to mental health department. The depression is one of the sickness which could be treated at the psychiatry. Many of the modern peoples suffers the depression but they do not know the pain is comes from the depression. So the depression becomes more dangerous.

 

- Which one is worse?

 * If your girl/boy friend dresses very badly (everyone would look at your couple)

 * If your girl/boy friend dresses very well but every time she/he points out your dress code.

내 생각에는 두 번째가 더 안 좋은 거 같다. 첫 번째는 자기 잘난 맛에 살고 있다고 볼 수 있지만, 두 번째는 간섭 받는다고 생각될 수 있다. 간섭을 받는 다는 생각이 잦아질수록 불화가 생길 위험이 커진다.

I think, the second is worse than the first. The first means self-satisfaction. But the next is to be considered interfered by one’s partner. Feel being interfered, more dangerous between couples.

 

- Do you organize the fridge? How?

집에서 나는 냉장고를 정리하지 않는다. 나의 아내가 정리한다. 다만 숙소에 있는 작은 냉장고는 내가 정리할 수 밖에 없는데, 간단하다. 아무것도 넣지 않는 것이다. 사실 숙소의 냉장고에는 내용물이 거의 없다. 물과, 사이다, 사과, 반찬 한 두 가지가 전부다. 가끔 상한 식재료나 반찬은 믹서기에 갈아서 버린다.

만약 집의 냉장고를 내가 정리해야 하는 일이 생긴다면, 모든 것을 투명 플라스틱 통(락앤락)에 옮겨 담고, 라벨을 붙일 것 같다. 내용물과 최초 장입한 일자를 기록한다.

In my home, I do not rearrange the things in the refrigerator. It’s my wife’s job. But I have small refrigerator in my residence, I should organize it by myself. The best way of the organizing is not to put anything in it. In fact, there are nothing except cider, water, apple in my small refrigerator. And I often use the mix-machine to remove spoiled food.

If I should rearrange my home refrigerator, I would put foods in the transparent plastic container and stick the label on it and write the date and the things.

 

- What type of person you are

 * When you go out, Just do everything you have to do outside and comeback

 * Whenever there is a work, Just go out

대개 일이 없으면 나가지 않는 편이지만, 휴일에는 일부러 나가려고 노력한다. 집 안에 오래 있으면 우울해진다. 몸을 움직이고, 햇빛을 쪼이는 게 정신과 육체적으로 좋다고 생각한다. 잠시 나가서 걸으면 기분이 좋아진다.

I usually do not go out without work to do. But I try to go out on purpose on holidays. I feel blue when I stay home for long time. Moving the body and emit the shine is good to mentaly and physical health, I think.

 

- Do you enjoy making up a schedule?

나는 대체로 계획 세우는 거를 좋아하는 편이다. 심지어는 “계획 세우기”를 일정 계획에 넣는 경우도 있다. 계획을 세우는 동안에는 내가 무언가 가치 있는 일을 할 수 있을 거라는 기대가 나를 기분 좋게 한다.

I enjoy planning something. I often schedule to plan the schedule. The expectation that I will be able to do something worthwhile makes me feel good when I plan the schedule.

 

- If you have to write professionally for life, What type of topics you are interested in?

For life가 for your all life라면, 두 가지를 고려하고 있다. 한 가지는 제조업에 종사하는 사무직 사람들, 경영자부터 신입사원까지 모든 사무직 사원들이 알아야 할 경영학적 공학적 지식과 소양에 관한 책, 또 다른 한가지는 재미있는 킬링타임용 소설이다. 요즘은 sf소설에 관심이 있다. 먼 미래, 로봇대전쟁 이후에 살아남은 인조인간들이 인간을 지배하기 위하여 자기들끼리 투쟁하는 내용을 상상하고 있다.

If “for life” means “for the money to live”, I consider two types. The one is writing SF novels. After apocalypse, robots and humans are how fight and corporate to rebuild the civilization. Or adventures of seeking the absolute chip. And the other is a practical book for salary men and executives of manufacturing company. How to set up the strategy and how to make the process and how to build up and progress the abilities of the members.

 

- Have you ever been a nosy person? or seen?

많은 사람이 있지만, 한 사람을 예로 들고 싶다. 그 사람은 역시 직장 상사이다. 그에게 보고할 일이 많은데, 사람들은 그에게 보고하기를 꺼린다. 거기에는 두 가지 이유가 있다. 한 가지는 말이 너무 많아서, 1분짜리 보고를 하면 30분 이상 잡혀 있는 경우가 많고, 또 다른 한 가지는 보고자의 말을 자르고 자기가 하고 싶은 말만 해서, 보고자의 의도가 제대로 전달되지 않기 때문이다. 그를 보면서 가끔 떠오르는 말이 있다. 귀가 두 개이고 입이 한 개인 것은 듣기를 말하기 보다 두 배 더 노력하라는 말이다.

One of them is near to me. He is a too much talker and louder. He will not listen to another’s opinion. When I entered his room to brief for one minute, I could exit his room after thirty minute of one hour to listen his word which was not related directly to my brief. When I see him, I remind that the reason of being one lip and two ear. We should do effort to listen twice than to talk.

 

- If you are working for a quite good company, but one of your ex co-workers or your relatives wants you to work together, what would you do?

입사지원서를 제출하라고 하겠다. 만약 내가 채용을 결정할 위치에 있다면, 부하직원들의 결정에 맡길 것이다. 그렇지만, 다행히도 나에게는 채용을 결정할 위치에 있었던 적은 없었기 때문에 청탁을 받은 적은 없다.

I would recommend him to submit the job application form. If I were in the position of recruiting, I will let it to my staff’s decision.
