11문자 살인사건 2024_11 11문자 살인사건 / 히가시노 게이고  / 민경욱 / 알에이치코리아 /  2018년 07월 13일 / 2024.04.27가볍게 읽을 책으로는 추리소설만한 게 없다는 게 또다시 증명되었다. 뻔한 결말을 처음부터 유추 했지만, 나의 유추를 확인하는 과정에서 느껴지는 소소한 기쁨을 엿볼 수 있다. 물론 그 과정에서 범인은 처음에 유추한 사람으로부터 다른 사람에게로 여러 번 의심이 옮겨가기는 했지만, 그게 더 재미 있었다고 할 수 있다. 소설의 특징 가운데 하나는 기승전결의 과정을 따르고, 대부분의 “기(起)”에 해당하는 부분인 앞 머리에 사건의 개요와 등장인물들을 소개하는 몫을 할당하는데, 이 소설에서도 앞 부분에 범인이 등장한다. 처음에는 그가 범인일까 의심을 하지만 장이 넘어갈수록 사건은 .. 2024. 4. 30.

살인자의 쇼핑목록 2024_10 살인자의 쇼핑목록 / 강지영 / 네오픽션 / 2022년05월13일 / 2024.04.20 동네 공공도서관이 1년 넘는 공사를 마치고 다시 문을 열었다. 주말에 어렵사리 들러 소설 두 권을 빌렸다. 책이 얇아서 장편인줄 알았는데, 펼쳐보니 단편집이었다. 저자의 평범하지 않은 세계관을 엿볼 수 있다. 등장인물이 살인자, 귀신, 무당, 사이코패스, 게임캐릭터, 토속신(神) 등이다. 평범하지 않은 캐릭터를 주인공 또는 소재로 사용하기 위해서는 나름 많은 공부를 했을 터인데, 그 흔적들이 엿보인다. 더 많은 말을 하면 오지랖이고, 더 나아가면 주제 넘는 상황이 될 터이다. 그렇지만, 그의 문체는 복잡하지 않고, 읽기 쉬우며 재미있다. 오랜만에 가벼운 소설을 재미있게 읽었다. 2024. 4. 23.
